CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY

Small groups are an essential part of living in Christian community and for our growth as disciples.  Below you will find listed groups that meet on a regular basis to share in fellowship and experiences.  The activities and timing will vary from group to group, but the common thread is sharing our lives in a deep and meaningful way to support and encourage each other in our walk with Christ.

Many of our groups are centered around Bible study.  Click on the link below to find the many offerings we have for studying the Bible and other materials.

Job Support Group

If you are interested in being part of a group who helps one another cope, dream and deal with the realities of unemployment and underemployment, please check the box on your sign in card. We are here to support each other through difficult times.  We share ideas and strategies for job searching, study current literature, and pray for one another.  The group is meeting at 1 PM, Tuesdays in front room of the Warehouse building. Contact Dwight Moore by email.

Exercise, Inspirational Music, Prayer
Which caught your attention? If any of these topics strikes your fancy, you may be interested in joining TEAM F.I.T. (Faith In Training). This free one-hour class will help participants to develop some “holy habits” in their life while enjoying inspirational music with others. Objective: To develop both a physical (light aerobic and floor exercise) and a spiritual habit (prayer). The ultimate goal is to develop these habits as a regular part of our lives, as we learn that we should “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, (and) give thanks in all circumstances” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18), and “devote (ourselves) to prayer” (Colossians 4:2). “Let everything that has breath, praise the Lord!” Movement to express our joy in living, and to strengthen the body we’ve been blessed with, is combined with prayer. With a Team effort, we’ll help each other become more F.I.T. as Christians. Led by Donna McBride. Wear comfortable clothes and good shoes for aerobics; bring a mat or thick towel for floor work, 1-5lb hand weights (optional), and water. Meets Mondays and Thursdays starting Jan. 8, 5:30- 6:30 p.m. in the CLC.  Wear comfortable clothes for exercise!
